Best Whisky Distillery Tours & Tastings in Speyside

The Speyside distilleries which are open to visitors, all run distillery tours (except Aberlour Distillery*)'. All of which are highly rated. They vary in duration, mainly one to two hours. Some are even longer and more in depth e.g. Balvenie Classic Tour. The format is usually (but not always) a distillery tour around the production areas and sometimes the warehouse. Then it's usually back to the visitor centre for a tutored guided whisky tasting. Due to ongoing construction, Aberlour Distillery is currently open for tasting experiences only (not tours). In addition, there are related experiences which can complement the day e.g. masterclass type experiences.

Many Speyside distilleries have range of tours, tastings and experiences. It can be quite a task to find the best ones for your particular interests and preferences as they specialise in different aspects of whisky production and themes. We specialise in building itineraries with guests according to their preferences and guiding them around Speyside.

We can integrate one or more of these into your Speyside Whisky Tours for added interest especially on a two or three day whisky tour. This is just a brief overview of what's available.

The best way to find Speyside Distillery Tours for you?

We work with you in order to develop your Speyside Whisky Tour itinerary and shortlist the best distilleries and tour options for you. It is also sometimes possible to arrange exclusive private distillery tours. For those looking for other experiences, these range from warehouse tastings, masterclasses to making your own whisky.  Local knowledge counts for a lot when travelling and building a whisky tour itinerary.

There are at least 15 distilleries to choose from. Furthermore, there are at least 50 experiences available. We develop an itinerary with you so you can make the most of your time in Speyside.

As an example there are at least 15 tours available at £30 or below. However, one is best for photography and gives wide access. Most include core range tastings but one is currently all distillery exclusive!  Another is very traditional with no computers used in production.
