What types of tour do you offer?
We specialise in Speyside Whisky Tours Speyside has a many distilleries open to the public and we develop itineraries which are customised and tailor made for you. These tend to be one day, two day and three day whisky tours. It's not just about distillery selection, its also about what experience to select at each place.
How much is a Speyside Whisky Tour?
A private 1 day tour for a group of 2 would be from £375. This is for a set itinerary. Customised tours available from slightly more. Full details below on the Speyside Whisky Tour page.
What's your favourite tour experience to include in an itinerary?
The itinerary is customised to guest requirements. As an example, you might be aware that there are many distilleries offering tours including for £30 per person or less so it can be hard to differentiate. However, through discussion we can narrow the options down and you might want to select the tour that includes a tasting of distillery exclusives. Or the one that is ideal for photography. Or the local gem. Or the tours over £60 that deliver a more in depth experience with elevated tasting. Discussions about what each distillery offers lead to a highly customised itinerary. Sometimes guests would like to include older whiskies e.g. 25 years and over. There are a few distilleries that can offer this. If a customised tour sounds of interest feel free to get in contact.
Can I include a warehouse experience?
Yes, 2026 seems to be the year when warehouse experiences and tastings appeared in greater numbers! They offer enhanced/elevated tastings. I am more than happy to go through the possibilities with you.
Where do your Speyside Whisky Tours depart from?
Because we provide private tours, we leave from your accommodation. Our Speyside Whisky Tours depart from Speyside towns including Forres, Elgin, Keith, Rothes, Aberlour, Dufftown and Craigellachie. We also depart from further afield including Inverness, Nairn and Aviemore in the Highland region. We also depart from West Aberdeenshire including Cullen and Huntly. We don't depart from Aberdeen but there are trains into the area and we can pick you up from the station (see next Q&A). Our tours of Speyside Whisky Distilleries don't depart from Edinburgh or Glasgow but you can be in Speyside in 4.5 hours ready to start your tour the next day.
Do you provide other types of tours?
Yes, or we can include other elements in a Speyside Whisky Tour. For example the Moray Firth coastline is beautiful and has lots of history. Including witches, fishing, Macbeth, cathedral and now the new film, The Odyssey, has highlighted the coastline even more.
